Kaliea glowered at Lacey when the elder girl appeared, wrinkling her nose. "Would it kill you to not reek of smoke half the time?" the Mexican teen grumbled, shooting a pleading glance at Blackjack, who only smiled. The curly-haired blonde rolled her eyes and ignored the complaint, and instead remarked to the disguised fledgling, "So, what's it like, living out here? I heard it's real quiet compared to back home." Blackjack shrugged, looking all the world like he didn't care or notice the difference. "It's not bad, but it isn't New York, at any rate." The dark-haired teen paused and glanced around, smiling when he spotted a familiar face approaching.

Isis smiled happily to herself, twirling her bag of shoes lightly. "Ah, shoes. A girls best friend by far." she muttered to herself, looking around for another store that she might want to visit-possibly another shoe store. She had a great urge to start singing the shoes song. She did begin to hum it though while her mind sang the words, somehow the song turning into lets go to the mall. She seriously listened to some strange songs.
"Blackjack!" She exclaimed happily as she spotted her new friend. She quickly crossed over, smiling. "Hey there. Who's your friends?" she asked, waving at the people surrounding Blackjack. They were probably the friends that he said would be coming down.

(( correction, coming up ;] New York City and Long Island are the southernmost parts of the state, while Rochester is near Lake Ontario- Canadian border is up thataways )) "Hey there, Isis. Guys, this is Isis, one of the girls from, ah, school. Isis, these are some of my friends- the blonde is Lacey, don't go near her if you have allergies; the guy is Mo, my former roommate; and the other girl is Kaliea, we dated for a few months." He didn't add that Lacey was also an ex-girlfriend of his, preferring to not dredge up the darker side of his past. "Fun Size came up too, dunno where he's at, tho." Lacey rolled her eyes at him. "Matt's checking out the lines in the food court." Turning her attention to Isis, she smiled warmly. "Nice to meet you, Isis. And before he manages to confuse you, the poor kid's real name is Matt. Blackjack just calls him Fun Size because he's so small." Kaliea snickered, obviously still finding it funny even after a year. "Anywaaay," the half-Mexican girl started, looking at Isis, "are you gonna hang out with us, or did you just stop to say hi?" I wonder if vampyre law allows him to date me after he's done being a fledgling... she mused, rather distracted.

Isis smirked, trying not giggle at the name. 'Fun size? Seriously?' it was hard not to laugh at. "Nice to meet you, too. You can just call me Sis or Sissy if you want. Um, I was really just doing some shopping but if you don't mind would I be able to hang out with you guys?" she was already done with her shopping, unless a pair of really cute shoes passed her way. She had twenty dollars to her name and if that was what her next buy would cost, she'd go broke.
She also hopped that she would meet up with some of Blackjack's friend, maybe they'd be as interesting as he would. The name fun size was defenitly interesting if not hilarious. The girls seemed nice enough but Isis had learned long ago not to judge a book by it's cover.

Kaliea, noting that the other three obviously didn't care either way, took a moment to briefly observe the girl. Hmm, you know, I never really noticed how short Blackjack is 'til now.. this girl can't be any taller than me, at any rate. "Yeah, sure. Obviously you and Blackjack have been talking, so fine by me." She tried not to, but she spoke with a faint edge of jealousy. While Kaliea spoke, Lacey had pulled out her vibrating phone to check a text she'd been sent. As soon as the younger girl was finished, the blonde said, "The food court is packed- but Matt checked the Friendly's, and it's almost empty. Does that sound good to you guys?" Blackjack pointedly ignored Kaliea's jealous tone and shrugged in response to Lacey. "Fine by me- I'll buy this time. Wanna come, Isis?"

"Sure," Isis haden't even noticed Kaliea's tone, mainly because her attention had been diverted downward to somone's very colorful, very bright, very glow in the dark shoes. 'Pretty,' she thought, before she looked back up. For a very observant person, Sissy could defenitly get destracted pretty easily. One of her many down falls.
'Apparently, Mo doesn't talk that much.' She noticed, giving him a glance. If he wasn't standing there she probably wouldn't have noticed him. I'd probably talk enough for the both of us.

"Well then, that's settled. C'mon guys, the Friendly's is thataways," Blackjack remarked, starting for the opposite end of the mall. (( yay timeskip )) Luckily, it didn't take long for the group to reach the restaurant. In fact, Matt (aka Fun Size) had just been shown to a table. Blackjack grinned and slid into the booth next to him, and Mo, quite a bit more refined in his manners, sat down next to them without fanfare. Meanwhile, Lacey was mulling something over. "Isis- do you have any objections to sitting next to me, unlike a certain spoiled brat over here?" she mused aloud.

"I don't mind," Isis said, taking a seat, putting her bag by her feet. She looked around curiously, never having been to Friendlys. "They got good food here?" she asked, to no one in particular. It sure smelt good-besides the food that's one of the reasons Sissy liked coming to resturants, they smelt awesome.
Sis rocked slightly to the music, trying to identify what it was. Some mix of rock and hip hop, two that sounded fimilar but at the same time unfimilar mixing them together.

"Good." Lacey was sitting on the inside, and Kaliea, ever annoyed, sat on the very edge of the bench, next to Isis. "So, Blackjack? How's the food here?" The fledgling shrugged. "It's nothing special, but it's better than the Friendly's back home. For one, this place is waaay cheaper, and the food is a tad better. I still say Cold Stone Creamery has better ice cream, though." Mo rolled his eyes and joined the conversation. "Cold Stone, Friendly's, what's the difference? It's ice cream, either way. But there's something about the hot fudge sundaes here that I like better."

"The best ice cream around is definintly Brusters, hands down. No other place-besides possibly Dairy Queen-hase better ice cream. But if you want to talk on a food basis the best food is at Texas Roadhouse." Isis commented, nodding once. She tilted her head slightly, still trying to figure out the music that was playing. 'Oh. Well that's a very innapropriate song.' she thought, finally figuring out one of the songs being mixed up. She smirked and shook her head, now changing to people watching, specifically watching people eat. 'That looks good, gross, gross, slightly okay, no.' she stressed the 'no' because what ever they were eating looked absolutly ew.

Kaliea smirked. "That place isn't even from Texas. And I should know, saying as I grew up there," she remarked. "But I have to agree, Dairy Queen is pretty good." Blackjack protested, "Yeah, but does Dairy Queen make their own ice cream daily? Do they let you add any mix-ins you want, in three decently portioned sizes? Cold Stone is the best, and that's that." Lacey raised her eyebrows at him. "Like Mo said, ice cream is ice cream, Blackjack, whether you like it or not. Now, food is a different matter. Do you have a Five Guys out here?" The fledgling shrugged. "Dunno. We might, but I don't spend my days mapping out every inch of the town. If I even wanted to, it'd take years."
