It wasn't often that Alaine got to clean her room. She spent quite a bit of time in it, and so the mess was often bad enough that garbage formed piles in the corners and books would be precariously piled all over the place: on the floor, on her desk, even on her bed. Between her duties as High Priestess, teaching fencing, and taking care of basic needs (namely food, blood, and sleep), she rarely, if ever, got a chance to clean up the terror that was her room. Not that the High Priestess was a slob- she was quite organized. Her room just got out of hand quite frequently. Alaine had considered giving the students a longer break, if only so that she had more time to clean before she had to give up most of her free time to teach. Unfortunately, that probably wouldn't go over too well with the rest of the professors, many of whom would be happier if the fledglings didn't have to be among full vampyres most of the time. By the time that someone knocked at her door, Alaine had restored all of her books to their shelves, had placed books from the library in a bag for returning them later, and had gotten most of the mess under control. At that moment, in fact, she was cleaning out her mini-fridge: she hadn't opened it in weeks because it was full of old, moldy food that would smell disgusting to humans- and it smelled far worse to her, being a full vampyre with improved senses.
