Karima is often told that she looks like a vampyre, even with her Mark covered. But to be honest, it really isn't her fault- she just happens to have the 'weird' genes. Her skin is pale, and often seems to have an unusual grey tinge. Her eyes are a grey-hazel, and her short, spiky hair is black, with several streaks of white that are naturally occurring. She has a small, slender figure, and an almost delicate-looking face. When she isn't scowling, her expression is often said to be "calm innocence".

Karima has been described as goth, emo, shadowy, and just plain creepy. This is likely due to a combination of her greyscale appearance and the dark clothes she prefers to wear. It is not unusual to see Karima in a hoodie and jeans, usually black, grey, or dark blue in color. She has a total of seven piercings- two in her right ear, four in her left, and one in her lip. She has a liking for unusual, antique jewelry, and is just as comfortable in heeled shoes as she is in sneakers.

Personality:

Karima is solitary in nature, though she isn't necessarily mean. She does not care for the company of living beings, finding them to be far less interesting than their deceased counterparts. She has a low regard for whiners of any sort, and finds fusses over trivial things to be highly annoying.

Karima is a lover of nature, and while she certainly has a rather pessimistic outlook on life, she is really quite gentle and kind-hearted. She's not particularly trusting, and has a tendency to dream up various, inventive ways to kill people she hates.

History:

Ever since she was a young child, Karima's parents knew she was a bit odd, at the least. She had a fascination with dead things- squished bugs, roadkill, you name it. When her grandfather died, Karima would not be consoled until she was allowed to hug his corpse. She was only six at the time.

Later, in elementary school, Karima was known as "the graveyard kid", because she had been to so many funerals and because she actually lived next to a graveyard. She was occasionally taunted, but her "evil eye" always scared off her taunters. In middle school, however, the bullies got braver and she started withdrawing into her shell because she had no friends among the massive student population.

Even in high school, when she made a friend or two, she was considered creepy, a freak, and falsely rumored to be a vampyre in disguise. When she was Marked, she was grateful- until her affinity showed up and the bullying started all over again. Because the only people she got along with were the High Priestess and a few professors, Karima was transferred to New York, where the student population was more accepting. Or so she hopes.
