Blackjack is the harmless-looking type, though if you know him well, you know that isn't true in the slightest. He stands at only 5'3" and weighs in at 116 lbs, meaning he's slightly underweight. He has pale white skin, which is a combination of not liking the sun and genetics. His hair is black, almost blue, and hangs to his chin, often uncombed and messy. He has hazel eyes with flecks of green. Blackjack's favorite outfit is a blue, long-sleeved shirt with red lightning bolts across the front and gray jeans. He is never seen without his gray fingerless gloves, which he wears to hide the scars on his hands, and is almost never seen without his black trenchcoat. He also has unusually sharp fingernails- whether they're natural or he sharpens them himself, he will never tell.

Personality:

Some describe Blackjack as a harmless, innocent, naive kid. They usually don't know him very well. Those that know him better say he's a troublemaker, stubborn and rebellious. The few that know him very well know that he is only honest when you expect him not to be, and that he's incredibly secretive about anything involving his human life. Blackjack is also terrified of thunderstorms, particularly the lightning involved, which his friends find ironic, since his favorite shirt has a lightning bolt pattern.

Blackjack can be charming and charismatic, but he's more often than not dishonest and is prone to violent mood swings. He has a horrible temper, and is frequently lectured by teachers and the High Priestess.

History:

Blackjack grew up in an ordinary family- his father worked Monday through Friday, nine to five and his mother was a stay-at-home parent, always there when he came home from school and such. His baby sister, Malia, was born only weeks before he turned ten. Only two and a half years later, his parents were killed in a car crash. At twelve, he had been babysitting Malia while his parents treated themselves to dinner alone. However, the state did a poor job of handling the situation- no one ever came to collect the two children and place them in a foster family or orphanage, as they had no living relatives. Malia died of illness before Blackjack turned thirteen.

Alone and orphaned, Blackjack continued attending school, but only occasionally; the days he wasn't at school he spent earning money on the streets as a drug dealer. When he was Marked, he gave up drug dealing, though he still dreams of being rich some day. Blackjack spent almost three years at the HoN in the city he was born in, New York, before being transferred to the Rochester HoN. No reason was ever given- Blackjack figures that they simply got sick of putting up with him.
