Cassandra is quite high on the vamp scale of good looks, with smooth, pale skin, light brown hair, and beautiful brown eyes. She likes her hair long, though she often braids it or wears it in a bun. Rarely does she ever wear her hair long, though she does for special occasions. Cassandra stands at about 5'4", and while she isn't tall, she makes up for it with very high heels that make her seem much taller.

Cassandra is widely accepted as "the" beauty consultant at the House of Night, and it's not difficult to see why. She has an excellent figure, a wardrobe that complements her pale skin and blue tattoos perfectly, and the right advice for nearly any problem. However, Cassandra has an obession with hiding her left leg from view, due to a slight deformity that she was born with.

Where her appearance is near perfect, Cassandra's personality is nowhere close. She has a terribly short temper, is prone to action before thought, and is very defensive, especially about her bad leg. She's incredibly stubborn and will almost never admit being wrong, which will often irritate others to the point that they avoid her.

Cassandra is not always honest, though in her case it's usually more not telling the whole truth than telling blatant lies. Even so, she's very trustworthy and would never betray someone's secret. While she might not be particularly nice, Cassandra can be just what a person needs on a bad day- a confidant and supporter.

Little is known about Cassandra's past, as she often tends to hide her previous mistakes, as well as the fact that she just doesn't like to give away secrets, be they hers or someone else's. Cassandra was never a member of an ordinary family: her parents were quite rich, and she had two little brothers that were about as spoiled as a kid could be. She was by no means her parents' favorite, which she blames on her bad leg. Cassandra was a month away from turning sixteen when she was marked. She considers this both a curse and a blessing: she hated the idea of either dying or turning into a vampyre, but she also didn't want to remain in her home for any longer. Lucky for her, she went on to realize that being a vampyre wasn't so bad, and she eventually took up teaching at the House of Night.
